Delta Sigs headed to Leadership Summit!

Leadership training is a vital part and primary focus of being a Delta Sig.

In light of this our President, Jason Rome and Vise President, Jared Sink (also Rush and Alumni Relations Chair) will be flying to Indianapolis January 11th - 13th for a meeting our National Office has named, The Summit at Midday.

Congrats Gentlemen, and best wishes at The Summit!

The Summit is a new training initiative that Delta Sigma Phi is launching for chapter/colony presidents and recruitment chairmen in 2008 designed to enhance and strengthen your chapter’s ability to recruit top talent on your campus and to advance our Fraternity’s strategic vision of becoming America’s Leading Fraternity.

Why The Summit you ask? Simple, the leadership of your Fraternity remains steadfast in its commitment to ensure that Delta Sigma Phi chapters and colonies have the leadership training, skills and resources to be “on top” at your campus.

Happy Founders Day!

Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity was founded by young men of Jewish and Christian traditions at a time when social norms did not allow intersection, or association of their faiths. These young men of culture agreed on one grand principle in Fall of 1899 —that all people, whatever their religion, background, race, or creed, should live together in harmony as equals—, and as friends. They believed that everyone of good character was worthy of friendship. By building bonds with one another, each became a better man himself.

That mission of building better men continues to be at the center of everything that Delta Sigma Phi does. On college campuses across the country, in boardrooms, in the halls of government, in nonprofit organizations and private business, and in communities all over the world, Delta Sigma Phi is building better men.

It seems fitting that as we celebrate and recognize the founding of our great fraternity 108 years ago, we pause to reflect upon the high ideals that have guided our brothers, new and old alike, for more than a century.

Brothers, I wish you the very best this Founders Day and invite you to join me in recommitting ourselves to Delta Sigma Phi. Do so in efforts that our Fraternity may grow and prosper with honor to itself, and that the world may ever be convinced of the sincerity of our purpose.

Michael Hoffman
National President
